To continue the birthday festivities, we decorated Easter cookies and opened presents with my aunt.Įveryone had a great time making bunnies and eggs! We made cupcakes the following day because we ran out of time on Monkey’s actual birthday.Īfter spending a lazy morning watching Frozen again, we spent the afternoon outside playing on the new scooter and drawing pictures with chalk. The rest of the evening consisted of making homemade pizza and watching Frozen for the first time (it was an instant favorite here and may or may not have already been watched 10 more times.) We ended our romp at the park with some birthday chalk drawings. So many of these photos capture her personality so, so well. Above left: Probably my favorite photo of the day. The wind was blowing a bit and my little drama queen kept pretending it was blowing her wand away. We had a really great time playing around with different props. The first one or this one, with THREE spelled out horizontally. I can’t decide which style collage I like for THREE. It’s amazing how much has changed in a year! Getting her cooperation for photos was definitely A LOT easier this year! THREE contains a lot more letters than TWO but I think it turned out equally cute.įor comparison. I loved this one last year and had to retry it. Above: Monkey with her best buddy, “Baby Giraffe” We stopped at the park in the afternoon for a quick birthday photoshoot. She picked out a couple small Lego Friends sets (Penguin, Tiger, and Turtle) and built them at lunch while she munched on apples and mac n cheese. We spent the morning at the zoo (Monkey and Mama’s favorite place!)Īfter the zoo, we made a quick stop at Toys R Us so Monkey could pick out a treat. Monkey was so excited to see all the balloons and to open her presents! Frozen and her scooter were the highlights of the morning!ĭaddy made some delicious birthday cake pancakes for breakfast, complete with glittery star-shaped candles! There were so many balloons, it was like wading through a ball pit. We left the birthday crown and wand on Monkey’s table and filled the living room with balloons.
